What we collect through our forms and why

SHOOTER order and demo requests

When you send an order request or ask for a live demo on the SHOOTER page, we process your name, e-mail address and country, and, if you provide them, your phone number, organisation and message, together with your answers about who you are buying for, where the product would be used and when you plan to buy. With the request we also store the language of the page, the address of the page, the campaign tags of the link you arrived through (UTM parameters and the Facebook click ID, if present), your IP address and your browser's user agent.

We use this data to reply to you, prepare an offer and manage the sales process (legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), the IP address and user agent to protect the form against abuse and spam, and the campaign tags and click ID to know which campaign brought the request (both legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The request is stored in our CRM, a backup copy is stored in the website's database, our sales team receives it by e-mail and you receive a confirmation e-mail.

Quote requests and product configurators

When you request a quote or send a product configuration, we process your name, e-mail address and, if you provide them, your phone number, organisation, country, message and the options you selected. The request is stored in the website's database and handled by our sales team (legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Catalogue orders

When you place an order from the catalogue, we process your name, e-mail address, phone number, billing and delivery address, and, if you provide them, your company, company ID, VAT ID and note. We store the order in the website's database, send you the order confirmation with payment instructions by e-mail and send a copy to our sales team (legal basis: performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, and our accounting and tax obligations, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Limited offer requests

When you respond to a limited offer, we process your name, e-mail address and, if you provide them, your organisation, role, phone number, country, note, the items you are interested in, whether you prefer delivery, and the campaign tags of the link you arrived through. The request is stored in our CRM (legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep the campaign tags to know which campaign brought the request (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

SHOOTER game leaderboard

If you save a result in the SHOOTER reaction game, we store the nickname you enter together with your score, accuracy and average reaction time, and show them publicly on the leaderboard (legal basis: legitimate interest in running the game, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Use a nickname rather than your real name if you do not want to be identifiable.

Who processes the data for us

We use service providers that process data only on our instructions: website hosting (Vercel), databases (Supabase), sending e-mails (Brevo), the hockeydts.com mailbox (SiteGround) and mail routing for hockeydts.us (Cloudflare), which forwards messages to our e-mail mailbox provider. When you visit any page, our hosting provider (Vercel) processes your IP address in server logs to operate and secure the website (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not sell your personal data.

Fields marked as required are needed to handle your request; without them we cannot reply. For SHOOTER order and demo requests these are your name, e-mail address and country (plus the three pre-selected answers); for quote requests, product configurators and limited offer requests your name and e-mail address; for catalogue orders your name, e-mail address, country, street, city and postcode. Everything else is optional.

Cookies and consent

When you first visit the site, a cookie banner asks for your choice. Nothing beyond strictly necessary storage is used until you give consent. You can accept all, keep only the necessary storage, or choose per category in the settings, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the same ease via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. When you withdraw consent, we stop the tools and delete the cookies they set on this site.

Necessary

We store your cookie choice itself in your browser (local storage), together with the time you made it. It is kept for 12 months, after which we ask again. This storage is necessary to respect your choice and needs no consent.

Statistics: Google Analytics 4

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Ltd., to understand how visitors use the site, for example pages viewed, scrolling, clicks on order and demo buttons and on links to other sites, form interactions, whether a form was sent (with the request type and page language only), device type and approximate location. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (_ga, _ga_*). We do not send your name, e-mail address or phone number to Google, and Google Analytics does not store your IP address. Google Signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and all Google advertising consent types stay denied because we do not use Google advertising. Legal basis: consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Marketing: Meta Pixel and Conversions API

With your consent we use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., to measure our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to show our ads to people who visited the site. The Pixel sets Meta's cookies (_fbp and, if you arrived from a Meta ad, _fbc) and reports page views, views of the SHOOTER page, clicks on order buttons and sent requests. Our code does not pass your contact details to the Pixel in your browser, and automatic advanced matching is switched off in our Meta pixel settings.

When you send a SHOOTER order or demo request with marketing consent, our server also sends Meta the following, so that Meta can match the request to an ad:

• your e-mail address and phone number, hashed (SHA-256), never in readable form;
• a hashed code of your country;
• your IP address and your browser's user agent;
• the values of Meta's cookies _fbp and _fbc;
• the ad click identifier, if you arrived from a Meta ad (from the _fbc cookie or from the link).

The same Meta Pixel is used on hockeydts.com, so advertising audiences may include visitors of both sites. For the processing on Meta's side we are joint controllers with Meta as described in Meta's Controller Addendum. Legal basis: consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Without marketing consent, nothing is sent to Meta.

Transfers to the USA

Google and Meta may process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, to which both companies are certified, and on standard contractual clauses. Our hosting and database providers and Cloudflare, which routes our hockeydts.us mail, may also process data in the United States; there we rely on the Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified and otherwise on standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

• Order, demo, quote and limited offer requests: 24 months after the last contact, unless a contract is concluded.
• Catalogue orders and contracts: for the period required by accounting and tax law.
• Your cookie choice: 12 months, then we ask again.
• Cookies in your browser: Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) up to 2 years, Meta (_fbp, _fbc) 90 days, unless you withdraw consent or delete them earlier.
• Google Analytics data: 14 months.
• Meta event data: according to Meta's own retention policy.
• Leaderboard entries: while the leaderboard is online, unless you ask us to remove yours.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access your personal data and receive a copy;
• have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
• have your data erased;
• restrict the processing;
• object to processing based on legitimate interest;
• receive the data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format (portability);
• withdraw consent at any time via "Cookie settings", without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For HDTS, a.s. this is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky), https://dataprotection.gov.sk. You may also contact the authority in the EU country where you live or work.

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that have legal or similarly significant effects on you (Art. 22 GDPR).

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our website, tools or legal requirements change. The current version is always published on this page, and the date below shows when it was last revised.
